Abstract(in English) | This paper presents the electromechanical properties of quartz plates at a temperature region higher than the α-β transition temperature, Tc, of 573 ℃.The elastic stiffness constants c_<55> and c_<66> were estimated from the piezoelectric resonance frequencies for various temperatures in β phase.An intense piezoelectric response with a high quality factor above 20, 000 was observed from the phase transition temperature to above 960 ℃.The elastic and piezoelectric constants c_<66>, c_<55> and e_<14> for the β phase are c_<66>=5.3 x 10^<10> N/m^2, c_<55>=3.7 x 10^<10> N/m^2 and e_<14>=0.11 C/m^2 around 800 ℃, respectively. |
