Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We propose a method to fabricate stable complex of bacteriorhodopsin and cationic liposome by electrostatic interaction. Cationic liposome was prepared from DOTAP or mixture of DOTAP and DOPC. The mixture of cationic liposome and purple membrane makes stable and large complex in the diameter of up to 10μm. And the size of the complex depend on the ratio of bacteriorhodopsin to cationic liposome and the concentration of bacteriorhodopsin. However it was not effected by ionic strength of the solution. The complex almost keeps its structure. These complexes was used to prepare robust bR multilayers on solid surface.
