Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Copper phthalocyanine(CuPc) which shows typical p-type semiconducting properties has been widely investigated for optoelectronic device applications. However, it is considered that practicable device performance is difficult due to the high resistivity and low carrier mobility. In this study, we propose organic device application with structure of static induction transistor(SIT). In the SIT elements, the current flows in the direction of layer thickness and the channel length is extremely short. From this point of view, the SIT structure is promising for high power and high speed operation with high-resistivity and low-mobility materials. We describe here the results and discussion of optimization of SIT structure by using a standard silicon process.
