Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In generally Merocyanine dye LB films are associated with a characteristic red-shifted band (J-band) in the visible absorption spectrum, due to the presence of an ordered arrangement of dye molecules. However J-aggregate state is found to be degraded immediately after spreading a chloroform solution containing Merocyanine dye on subphase. Pressure area isotherms of MC, n-octadecane, and arachidic acid mixture on pure water and Cd^<2+> water subphase were measured due to determine the limiting molecular area. And we accumulated mixture MC LB films and measured optical characteristics with spectrophotometer. These results suggested than J-aggregation state was formed by using of a certain specified mixture ratio.
