Relationship between absorption under surface plasmon excitations and anomalous dispersion

Abstract(in English) Properties of optical absorption under the excitations of surface plasmons in the photocells of multilayered structure have been compared with those in the conventional case by a plane-wave light. On the assumption of model dielectric functions for each layer of the photocell structure, the real absorption by the photoconductive layer was calculated. The relationships between the absorption on surface plasmon excitations and the dispersion in dielectric function of the absorbent are discussed based on the numerical calculations.
