Abstract(in English) | The present paper reports recent topics of rigid, rodlike organopolysilane in solution achieved by our group. The topics include (1) a correlation between silicon backbone UV absorption intensity and the viscosity index indicating global shape, (2) an ideal UV, circular dichroism, fluorescence spectral characteristics of single-screw-sense, rodlike helical polysilane, and (3) cooperative, single-screw-sense takeovers in two optically active helical polysilane copolymer systems including chiral/achiral silanes and S-chiral/R-chiral silanes. |
