Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Preparation of polysilanes was investigated by a catalytic disproportionation reaction of alkoxydisilanes. Oraganic substituents other than a methyl group were introduced into polysilanes by two methods: (1) disproportionation reaction in the presence of substituted alkoxysilanes, (2) disproportionation reaction initiated with a small amount of organolithium reagents. Alkylene and arylene groups as well as alkyl and aryl groups were successfully introduced into the polysilanes by these methods. The decrease in molecular weight of the polysilanes was considerably small during a photooxidation reaction, presumably due to their network structure and alkoxy substituents.
