Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Neurons and synapses are major components of the nervous system, and their impulses and synaptic potentials are electrical signals that are responsible for transmitting and processing information. Chaotic dynamics of the impulse train has been demonstrated, and the connection between chaos and brain functions is a very controversial topic. In this report, methods of observing the neuronal activity and investigating the dynamics are reviewed, and the chaotic nature of the activity is demonstrated. |
