Abstract(in English) | The small disks have high potential for the improvement of subsystem performance.This paper described the optimization of the subsystem configuration from the view points of cost performance with using the models of some small disks in 1995 based on their trends.This configuration model can evaluate the improvement of the subsystem cost performance dependence on the number of the synchronized paralleled disks.As a result this paper shows that by using the smaller disks such as 1.8 inch for disk array,50~70% cos t saving are possible than using 5.25 inch in the random access load to the image information. |
