Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Differential detection of a demodulated baseband signal for FSK with frequency-detection system ig an efficient counter measure against dc-offset due to the center frequency drift In this system, however, error rate performance degrades owing to the intersymbol interference effect of the differential detection. This paper proposes to apply a sequence estimation technique(Viterbi decoder) to the signal after differential detector.Computer simulation results show significant improvement of the error rate performance. The transmit and receive baseband filtering is advantageous to get a narrorwer modulated signal spectrum and a lower error rate performance. It is also shown that the integrator circuit for the baseband signal contributes to decrease error rates for the Viterbi decoding. The effects of modulation index and multilevel transmission are analyzed.
