Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, electroluminescent (EL) devices with organic dyes have been extensively investigated. In this report, the fabrication of EL device with organic multilayer structure utilizing 8-hydroxyquinoline aluminum and aromatic diamine by organic molecular beam deposition have been reported, and its color variability of electroluminescence have been discussed. In the case of the EL diode utilizing a 1-nm-thick dye molecule layer with single quantum well structure, the EL spectra changes depending on the applied voltage. This dependence of the EL spectra on the applied voltage has been explained in the terms of the shift of the recombination region.
