Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) An organic dye-doped graded-index (GI) polymer optical fiber amplifier (POFA) for the visible region has been successfully prepared. The high-power (1200W) and high-gain (36dB,4000times) amplification in the GI POFA with a 0.9-m length was achieved. Theoretical investigation on the gain dynamics of GI POFA has shown the possibility of light amplification covering wide range in the visible region.
