Abstract(in English) | We prepared a uniaxially oriented p-sexiphenylene film and characterized the structure and optical propeties of the film. The aligned molecular stands of poly(p-phenylene) (PPP) were prepared on a fused silica substrate by friction-transter technique. Then epitaxially grown p-sexiphenylene (6P) film was deposited by physical vapor deposition to grow epitaxially. By the atomic force microscopic observation, it was found that the 6P needle-like crystal grew in perpendicular to the derection of the PPP strands. The film exhibits anisotropic optical properties. |
