Abstract(in English) | In this paper, nonlinear optical thin films were produced on KBr by molecular beam epitaxy (MBE).The orientation and alignment of vanadyl-phthalocyanine (VOPc) molecules and the conditions to produce a large crystal with epitaxial growth have been investigated. The orientation and alignment of VOPc molecules in a thin film produced by a MBE method was easily controlled and its film had large 2nd and 3rd large nonlinear optical constants. VOPc thin films produced by the MBE method were studied by X-ray diffraction, optical absorption spectra in visible and infrared regions, scanning electron microscopy and atomic force microscopy. The VOPc thin film evaporated on KBr under a certain producing condition was epitaxially grown, The size of epitaxially grown film was 2×2×0.5μm under an optimum condition. |
