Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Polysilanes have been investigated with excited interest, because of their unusual electric and photoelectronic properties. These properties have been attributed to the delocalization of σ-electrons, which is strongly coupled with the polymer conformation. We have researched these polymers to create new electrical conducting materials which have metal-like electrical conductivity and good processability. The electrical conductivity of poly(dihexylsilane) is improved to the order 10<-2> S/cm dramatically because of the sterical conformation control of polysilane backbone that have been controlled by the addition technology of the ester compounds. So we have investigated the sterical conformation control to improve the conductivity of the polymers.
