Negative Photoelectric Effect and Structural Characterization of Adsorption LB Films

Abstract(in English) Adsorption Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) films consisting of merocyanine dye (MC) and several triphenylmethane derivatives (TPMs) have been fabricated and investigated the interaction between two functional dyes using absorption spectroscopy and photoelectrical measurements. Photocurrent spectra of Au/(MC/TPMs) LB film/Al samples are measured using two polarized lights. A peculiar negative photoelectric effect is observed under the two lights illumination with a same polarized direction. We have analyzed the photoelectric process between two dyes comparing the experimental results and the simulation using the model for photogenerated carriers via traps formed between two dyes.
