Consideration of optimum incident beam angles of cross polarized four-wave mixing

Abstract(in English) We consider the optimum incident beam angles of the cross polarized four-wave. First, the phase matching angles are obtained in the both operation modes with ordinary writing beams and an extraordinary reading beam which we call Mode1 and with extraordinary writing beams and an ordinary reading beam which we call Mode2, respectively. Next, practicable angle ranges of the incident beams are shown with consideration of the total reflection of the phase conjugate beam in the both cases that the writing beams are on the same boundary of the crystal and that the writing beams are on the neighboring boundaries, respectively. As the result, the coupling coefficient within the angle range is obtained and the optimum incident beam angles of the cross polarized four-wave mixing to realize the effective beam interaction in Mode1 and Mode2 are obtained, respectively.
