Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Performance of scanning electrochemical microscopy (SECM) on detection and imaging of localized chemical reactions is briefly described. Sensing and application of biofunctional materials by SECM are also reviewed. The followings are the contents: 1. Characterization of localized properties of enzyme-immobilized materials. 2. Trace- and multi-analysis of proteins by SECM/ELISA system. 3. Characterization of biological and biomimetic membranes. 4. Characterization of single cells.
