Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Photocurrent multiplication phenomenon reaching 3000-fold was newly observed at organic/organic heterojunction between p-type phthalocyanine (CuPc) and n-type perylene pigment (Me-PTC) layers. This phenomenon was reasonably interpreted based on the tunneling injection of electrons from the valence band of CuPc to the conduction band of Me-PTC under a high electric field across Me-PTC layer, which is built up by the photo-accumulated electrons at the interfacial states between CuPc and Me-PTC. Multiplied photocurrent caused upon the irradiation of red light exciting CuPc was effectively suppressed by irradiating blue light exciting Me-PTC simultaneously.
