Abstract(in English) | Bis (2-(2-hydroxyphenyl) benzothiazolate) zinc (Zn (BTZ)_2) was examined as an emitting material. The Zn (BTZ)_2 device showed high luminance of 10,190cd/m^2 (8V) with greenish-white emission. Furthermore, (Zn (BTZ)_2) was also examined as an electron transport material in the device structure of [ITO/hole transport layer (MTDATA)/emitting layer (α NPD+rubrene 5%)/electron transport layer (Zn (BTZ)_2)/MgIn]. This cell showed high luminance of 10,090cd/m^2 with yellow emission and long life time, which was more than 1,500 hrs from an initial luminance of 106cd/m^2 under constant current. Zn (BTZ)_2 is expected to serve as a new electron transport material for organic EL devices. |
