Application of a polysilane EL device to display

Abstract(in English) We have fabricated electroluminescent devices using Poly (dimethylsilane) (PDMS) deposited film as an active layer, and discussed an application to display as a ultraviolet-excitation source. We can demonstrated the red (R), green (G) and blue (B) light emission devices by combining with RGB phosphors. The luminance of the green-light emitting device is 0.2 cd/m^2 and the half-value lifetime is about 5 hours at 250K. These results show a possibility of application to a full-color flat panel display using a PDMS-EL device.
