Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The electrical conduction mechanisms of electroluminescent diodes using conjugated polymers were investigated. The current behavior of these devices depended remarkably on the work function of contact metal, and also the electric-field strength. therefore it was suggested that the carrier-injecting process is very important. And these results were interpreted by tunnel effect based on Fowler-Nordheim theory. However, there were not a few errors in the results of quantitative analysis of the current behavior, and it was suggested that the cause mainly consists in the electronic state of the polymer light-emitting layer near the polymer/metal interface.
