Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we develop a transport theory for semiconductors based on real space motion of a wavepacket. We show that, in an electric field, a wavepacket is formed as a result of interference and that transport can be described as position change of the wavepacket regardless of strength of the electric field. We also show that use of wavepackets for transport results in quantum effects such as intracollisional field effect due to finite scattering duration. Results of analysis for miniband transport are shown to indicate validity and usefullness of the present theory.
