Abstract(in English) This paper devises a new realtime extraction algorithm dedicated to face objects. The procedure is composed of four stages; (i) noise reduction, (ii) separation of background from face object, (iii) face object recognition, and (iv) detailed object extraction. This extraction algorithm run on an Intel Celeron 300 MHz processor can successfully extract face objects within 21 ms per frame for a QCIF (176×144) format video sequence.
