Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | There are two standpoints in asynchronous circuit design From one standpoint how to analyze an asynchronous circuit is main interest. From the other standpoint how to construct a large asynchronous circuit is main interest. Recently, from the latter a good design methodology for asynchronous circuits design has been established. This consists of a handshake communication and 2 phases dual-rait logic. This paper gives an overview of these techniques, and points out the fact that arbitration is necessary for low power consumption. |
