Abstract(in English) | This report presents a new edge detection algorithm. In some conventional methods, it is not easy to find out accurate edges from an image disturbed with noise. If a noise filter is applied to such image, some parts of important edges are also degraded. By using a morphology algorithm, an efficient noise reduction to a given image can be realized. In addition, it is shown in this report that a high accurate edge detection can be simultaneously executed when a good morphology structure element is selected. |
