| 抄録(和) | 筆者らは, VDEC(大規模集積システム設計教育研究センター)におけるチップ試作サービスの円滑化を目的として, スタンダードセルライブラリの開発手法を確立し, 平成9年4月, 商用のライブラリ開発ツールを用いて約300種類のセルを含む本格的スタンダードセルライブラリを開発した.開発を行ったセルライブラリはすでに国内の大学や高専向けに公開しているが, 面積効率が良くないことや使用できるセルの種類が制限されているという欠点があった.そこで本年度再び仕様の異なるスタンダードセルライブラリの開発を行なった.平成9年に開発を行ったセルライブラリと, 本年度開発したセルライブラリの評価を行った結果, 新たに開発したライブラリは以前に開発したライブラリに比べて最大1.8倍の集積度を実現できることが確認できた. |
| 抄録(英) | We have developed a standard cell library including 300 kinds of standard cells for VDEC (VLSI Design and Education Center) using commercial tools, in 1997 fiscal year. The developed standard cell library has already been opened to university students and vocational school students. However, the developed standard cell library has some defect in area efficiency and has many unavailable cells. Therefore, we have developed another standard cell library including 360 kinds of cells as a renewal standard cell library in this year. In this paper, we present evaluation results for these two standard cell libraries. The evaluation results show that density of transistors in certain benchmark circuit designed with renewal library is 1.8 times higher than density of the circuit designed with previously developed library at the maximum case. |
