Abstract(in English) As silicon and system technologies harmonize, we are preparing a rapid system prototyping environment using reconfigurable FPGAs(Field Programmable Gate Array) as a base to construct an environment for system integrated LSI co-design. FPGA is a widely known logic device which is capable of realizing its internal circuit by programming. Recent developments in FPGA can accommodate over 20,000 gates in one FPGA device. However, problems arises when implementing a system prototype requiring multiple FPGAs. Here, we utilize the reconfigurable FPGAs and FPIDs (Field Programmable Interconnect Devices) which are reconfigurable interconnecting devices between FPGAs. We are currently developing a rapid system prototyping environment using multiple FP-GAs where one can smoothly try and evaluate the design to choose the most suitable system architecture, and further verify the system software. In this paper, we describe the rapid system prototyping environment, and introduce examples whose system verification was realized using emulation.
