A Probability-based Approach for Data Path Allocation

Abstract(in English) We propose a probability-based approach for data path allocation. Previous approaches can not obtain optimal solutions, because they take large calculation time. While the proposed approach can obtain solutions close to the optimal by using the probability of assigning operations and variables to hardware units. Moreover, our approach devides an allocation problem into three subtasks to reduce calculation time, and solve subtasks, respectively. At each phase, we estimate costs of interconnection between hardware by using probability, and minimize the amount of costs. Consequently only approach can solve allocation problem independent of the input DFG form.
