Abstract(in English) | With increasing integrated gate number on a chip due to device scaling down to sub-quarter-micron, a system board, currently composed of several functional LSIs, will be able to be integrated in a chip, resulting in a system-on-silicon LSI. This paper overviews technology trend on those LSI architecture, circuit and design using STARC roadmap as an example. ln addition, to realize system-on-a-chip, the importance of hardware and software codesign as well as seamless design and verification between the system LSI and the total system will be discussed. |
