Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A L-band wind profiler is often used to measure 3-dimentional wind vectors in the lower troposphere region. Conventional signal processing methods often assume space and time homogenuity of wind distribution to detect weak echoes. However, in a low altitude region, winds often varies with time and altithude because of the effect of grounds. Therefore, the conventional methods sometimes fails to detect an atmosphere echo. In the proposed method, observation of Doppler velocities is redundantly made with 5 different beam directions, and then, beam directions with less number of data missing is selected to calculate a wind velocity to decrease data missing. Evaluation with field data shows that acquisition rate of wind velocities increases up to more than 80%, even when that of conventioanl method is from 30 to 80%.
