Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Evaluation tests for ADS-B (Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast) have been conducted in foreign countries. ADS-B is about to be implemented i n aviation industry including large aircraft. We studied the influence of ADS-B for small aircraft. After current status of operational control for small aircraft is described, the requirement for operational control communication of Doctor Helicopter is stated. We have developed a kind of ADS-B system called GPS/datalink System. At disaster prevention exercise BIG RESCUE TOKYO 2001,we demonstrated an onboard system installed on a helicopter and a ground station installed at a hospital. The result indicated effectiveness of this system. Finally, future perspective of ADS-B application is discussed.
