Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) High performance, such as long-life and light-weight, is required for battery in space. Recently, R&D of battery for terrestrial mobile appliances are extensively conducted, and batteries are designed, through conducting evaluations usage and feed-backing field data. The approach for R&D of battery in space use is the same, and the operational environment is featured, such that spacecrafts with battery are launched by rocket and function for a long life in space. NASDA has conducted long-term evaluations of battery cells for space use as R&D in order to reflect the results to battery cell design and manufacturing.
