Three Dimensional Vehicle Tracking Method Using Visual Image Sensor and Two Dimensional Radar

Abstract(in English) This paper presents an accurate vehicle tracking method which combines the data from image sensor and two dimensional radar. About the method which estimete two dimensional position and velocity on the road plane, tracking accuracy is deteriorates due to undulation of the road. In this paper, we proposed the method which estimate three dimensional position and velocity by using image sensor and two dimensional radar, utilizing two initial positions that obtained assuming that roadsurface is plane. We confirmed that the performance of this method is hardly affected by undulation of the road.
