A Slot-Coupled Microstrip Antenna with Offset Triplate Line Feed

Abstract(in English) This paper presents a new configuration of slot-coupled microstrip antenna with offset triplate line feed. This configuration has a feature of decreasing the reflection from connection of two different substrate because the thicknesses of two substrates are equalized. First of all, input impedance characteristics with changing the offset ratio of thickness of triplate substrate using FDTD method are indicated. Next, impedance smatching method is indicated when the offset triplate feed is used. Finally, fabrication and measurements of this antenna in Ka-band utilized LTCC(Low Temperature Co-fired Ceramics) triplate line are described, and good performance has been confirmed.
