Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper introduces the design of DRTS(Data Relay Test Satellites)as an example of 1-2ton class geostationary satellites. NASDA has been developing DRTS since 1996 to aim to develop advanced inter-orbit communications technology and one-ton class medium size satellite bus technology. Data relay experiments will be conducted with LEO spacecraft such as earth observation satellite(ADEOS-II and ALOS)and Japanese Experiment Module(JEM)attached to International Space Station. We carry out DRTS proto flight test now.
