Inclined Geo-synchronous Orbit Constellations Suitable to Fixed Satellite Communications

Abstract(in English) Inclined geo-synchronous orbit constellations using three or more satellites enable reuse of frequency band allocated to geostationary satellites. In order to provide continuous communication services, hand-over of communication links is required between two satellites. In elliptical orbit constellations with the argument of perigee of 90 or 270 degrees, it is possible to carry out hand-over within an antenna beam by selecting an approphriate eccentricity of the orbits. In the constellation, the two satellites cross almost at the same point at the moment of the hand-over. The constellation is suitable to fixed satellite communications using large aperture antennas.
