Abstract(in English) | A validation gate for target tracking is a region in the measurement space within which the reports for the target are expected to lie. In this paper, we present that an ellipsoidal gate is the optimal shape. In other words, the probability of the target falling inside the ellipsoidal gate is the highest under the condition that the volume of the gate is a fixed constant. An idea of cluster is introduced in the multiple-target tracking. Clustering is a process of dividing a large problem in a wide region into independent small problems. We have shown that there exists the finest clustering under the condition that any two tracks which have a common measurement must be in the same cluster. Here, a track is defined by a time-series of at most one measurement data from each sample time. |
