Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Submillimeter wave has begun to attract notice as a field of new engineering application. The application of submillimeter wave to the inverse synthetic aperture imaging will enable the resolution with the order of millimeter, so as to realize short-range, high resolution imaging radar for airplane, ship and car control, and non-contact structural measurement of minuscule deformation. Toward these applications, a basic imaging experiment of inverse synthetic aperture method at 120-160GHz with basic geometry target was conducted. It is reported at first that the result of the down-range and cross-range resolution were within the predicted values. The second is that, in the image retrieved for four metal poles placed at four corners of a square, the relative position of poles was in good agreement with the aspect of view, and also the effect of window functions on the IFFT processing were confirmed.
