Abstract(in English) Radar is now an inevitable instrument in order to navigate aircrafts or ships safely.In radar signal processing,how to suppress radar clutter and how to detect targets easily are important.We observed two ships as radar targets embedded in heavy rain and sea clutter using an X-band radar.In this article,we tried to detect targets by image processing mothod using the fractal dimension.By finding the optimum thleshold level,we succeeded to detect two ships embedded in clutter
