The Estimation of Bias Error in a Height Monitoring System

Abstract(in English) A height monitoring system developed for measuring the geometrical height of aircraft uses "Navigation Accuracy Measureme nt System"(NAMS)in its height measuring part.Prior to the operation of the height measuring part,we need to estimate and correct bias errors in the data obtained from NAMS.A bias error estimation method by a flight experiment is known,but it requires many flight data. We tried to improve the method of flight experiment in order to make use of GPS for estimating bias errors without many flights.We report the results of experiment and considerations.
