| 抄録(和) | 2003年に予定されている月探査周回衛星SELENE(Selenological and Engineering Explorer)ミッションでは、H-IIAロケットを用いて、月の極軌道周回衛星とリレー衛星で構成される大型の探査機を月に送ることが計画されている。この計画の科学目的は、月の起源と進化の研究、月環境の解明、月からの科学観測の3本柱から成っている。月の起源と進化の研究は、月面の元素や鉱物、月表層の構造、月磁場のグローバルマッピングと月重力の計測により行う。月環境については、電磁環境、高エネルギー粒子環境、プラズマ環境を計測する。月からの科学観測では、地球プラズマ圏の撮像と惑星電波の観測を行う。観測機器の総重量は約275kg、ミッション期間はノミナルで14ヶ月が予定されている。 |
| 抄録(英) | A moon-orbiting observatory mission, SELENE(Selenological and Engineering Explorer), is planned for 2003.The SELENE will consist of a main orbiting satellite at about 100km altitude near the polar circular orbit, a relay satellite on an elliptical orbit with an apolune at 2400km, and a landing module(propulsion module). The scientific objectives of the mission are;1)study of the origin and evolution of the moon, 2)in-situ measurement of the lunar environment, and 3) observation of the solar terrestrial plasma environment from the lunar orbit.The SELENE will carry instruments for scientific investigation including mapping of lunar topography and surface composition, measurement of the gravity and magnetic fields, and observation of lunar and solar terrestrial environments.The total mass of scientific payload is about 275kg.The mission period will be typically 14 months. |
