Abstract(in English) COMETS, Communications and Broadcasting Engineering Test Satellite, named"Kakehashi", was launched at 7:55UTC Feb. 21, 1998 by H-II Rocket from Tanegashima Space Center. One purpose of the COMETS project is to upgrade large geostationary satellite technology.The results of upgrading the technology through COMETS development are described in this report.
