| Abstract(in English) | The Advanced Space Communications Research Laboratory (ASC) has been carring out a Research and Development(R&D)of mobile communication system and digital sound broadcasting system in S band. In this R&D, ASC is developing key technologies such as a large deployable antenna, multibeam feed system, high power amplifier, and on-board switching processor.Those results will be installed on the Japanese Engineering Test Satellite VIII(ETS-VIII) which will be launched in 2002. At the present time, many other satellite systems with similar missions are developing in the world.This paper describes the developing state of those systems which have been developing and planned to be serviced until about 2002. |
