A Study on Ship Collision Prevention System using Ping-Pong Method of Whistle Sonic Wave

Abstract(in English) Many ship collision accidents often occure under poor visibility condition.Nowaday,there exist several type of redar systems for the ship collision prevention.However,these systems are so big and expensive.Therefore,it is not economical to install such a system on a middle or small ship.Here,we propose a new and inexpensive ship collision prevention system using ping-pong method of whistle sonic wave.This system can measure the distance and the phase direction of the other ship within the acceptable error.In this paper,we report the system′s structure and evaluation results of t his system.
