Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Space debris are increasing in Earth orbit.Space Surveillance Network in America always survey them, but the detection ability is limited. For example, the radar of the network can not detect the debris smaller than about 10 cm size at 500 km altitude. In this resarch, code modulation on a long pulse or CW wave, and a bistatic radar system are adopted to upgrade the detecting ability, and to make it easy to construct an observation network, respectively. The characteristics of code error rate in a ranging signal are clarified. To investigate the applicability experimentally,we formed a bistatic radar and observed a satellite. The configuration of the system and the results will be described.
