Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In general, the electromagnetic constants of soil near the surface are strongly dependent on the water content of its soil. For the operational environment of a subsurface RADAR it is important to evaluate the characteristics of the antenna with water content of soil. In this paper we report the results of numerical analysis for the strip dipole antenna located on an infinite planar boundary between free half space and the flat earth. The relative permittivity and conductivity of soil is referred to the measurement data. Then we discuss the relationship between water content and antenna characteristics.
