Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) As increasing traffic volume has made the air traffic controller's job more complex, it is important to consider how present air traffic control systems can be enhanced from the point of view of the human operator. In an effort to enhance the man-machine interface, thus simplifying the controller's job, it is proposed that he current radar display, strip board, printer, etc. be replaced by two integrated radar display units for the radar controller/coordinator team. Each of these next generation ATC consoles would incorporate a new information display based on a new system concept, system contribution, and outlook design.
