Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a new AFC circuit using a double-product type frequency discriminator to enable fast acquisition in ultra-low CNR environments. The frequency responses of the proposed AFC circuit is theoretically analyzed. In addition, this paper evaluates the proposed AFC circuit performance by the computer simulation. The simulation results show that the click noise at the frequency discriminator causes large AFC error and this AFC error can be improved by increasing the delay time of the frequency discriminator. The simulation results confirm the acquisition performance improvement compared to the AFC circuit using a conventional cross-product type frequency discriminator.
