Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Lidar (Laser Rader) system for atmosphere observation beems pulse laser light to air, and measures the backscatter by aerozosol and molecule in the air. The many lidar tests from the ground have been made, but the lidar test from space was the only LITE program of the space shuttle. Lidar engineering test satellite has mie scattering lidar, and measures the distribution of aerozol and the density of the atmospheric ingredient. We have studied the system of lidar engineering test satellite which J-1 rocket delivers since 1993. We are studying the system of the satellite which H-2 rocket delivers this year. This paper reports on the result of the study.
